#HomeHealthHack: Cleopatra’s Bath Mylk

Reece Carter

It’s red, it’s itchy, and sometimes it’s downright painful: eczema. Mine flares up with stress, which is why I used a little naturopathic know-how to design this all-natural remedy. It’s a relaxing addition to your bath that is also full of soothing, anti-inflammatory herbal ingredients.

What you’ll need

  • 1 cup dried chamomile
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 10-20 drops of your favourite aromatherapy oil

Check out the video below to learn how to turn these kitchen staples into medicine for your skin.

Cleopatra is rumoured to have bathed in milk at night, and it’s gone down in history as one of the most ancient beauty techniques as a result. I’ve supercharged the remedy with chamomile, a great anti-inflammatory; and oats to leave the skin feeling silky smooth. So even if you don’t suffer from eczema or dermatitis, you might want to whip up a batch of bath mylk anyway!
