Am I paler than usual today? Why is my skin so dry? Does my hair look dull? How can my lips be so parched? All of these questions may seem harmless, but in fact they can signify that there is something amiss with your body. And while it may be easy to treat each of these things separately, better solution is to turn to nature and change your approach to health and beauty dilemmas completely.
For Hair: Oils
Though it may seem like you’re only greasing your hair more, applying oils can help your hair grow long, strong, and shiny. Make a combination of five wonderful oils for the ‘Ultimate hair oil’ combination which will do wonders for your damaged hair. Mix 80 ml of coconut oil with 30 ml of castor oil and five drops of lavender.
Now, adding the last two ingredients is not necessary but it will give better results, so feel free to add six drops of tea tree oil and five capsules of vitamin E. Use the mixture two times a week and within a month you will see improvement in your hair length and quality.
Skin & Bones: Water and Calcium
You already know that calcium is good for the bones, but did you know it does wonders for your skin as well? It helps regenerate damaged skin cells and replacing old skin cells with fresh new ones.
As we grow older, this process slows down, and by taking in useful calcium supplements we help our skin look and feel young again. The wonderful advantage of calcium intake is suddenly doubled as these supplements, as you probably know, provide bone-supporting minerals and play an important role in the prevention of osteoporosis in women.
For Nails: Lemon and Olive Oil
Vitamin C is essential for nail growth, and is there a better source of vitamin C than lemons? In addition to speeding up the growth process, lemon also treats that unealthy yellow colour than nails get after you’ve been using nail polish for too long, and in return gives them a nice shine.
For Scalp: Baking Soda and Cinnamon
You can make healthy nail soak right in your own kitchen with just one tablespoon of lemon juice in which you have added three tablespoons of olive oil. Before you soak in your nails, heat the mixture in a microwave for about ten minutes, and do this at least five times a week (you can do it every day if you want too).
One of the easiest masks to make and incredibly beneficial for your scalp and hair is baking soda, cinnamon, and olive oil mask. This mixture helps exfoliate the scalp by gently massaging it in, and it also removes any buildup so your skin can breathe and your hair can soak in more nutrients. It also detoxifies the hair follicles, roots, and oil glands. Simply mix a teaspoon of baking soda with two pinches of cinnamon powder and two tablespoons of olive oil and apply to your scalp generously.
In addition, by drinking more water and green tea you help remove all the toxins that build up in your body. It may seem unnecessary to make all these changes in your life, especially since effects are not visible straightaway but later on, but if you decide to do it you will be happy with the results. It may be slower, but the effects will last longer, and people will not be able to miss the changes. Your silky smooth hair, glowing skin, and healthy nails will have everyone asking you to reveal your secret to them.
